Polyaspartic Flake Floors · Albuquerque, NM

Flake Floors That Cure in a Day and Last for Decades

Our signature system: decorative vinyl flake locked under crystal-clear polyaspartic. Harder than epoxy, faster than epoxy, and built for New Mexico sun.

If you're going to coat your garage floor once, do it with the system that was engineered to outperform epoxy in every way that matters. Polyaspartic flake floors combine a high-build epoxy or polyaspartic base, a full broadcast of decorative vinyl flakes, and a UV-stable polyaspartic clear topcoat — a sandwich of chemistry that shrugs off hot tires, road salt, oil, and the brutal Albuquerque sun.

Where traditional epoxy can take a week to fully cure and may yellow or amber in sunlight, polyaspartic cures in hours and stays crystal clear. That means your garage is back in service in a day or two, and the floor looks the same in year ten as it did on day one. It's the system we install in our own garages, and the one we recommend most.

Why polyaspartic flake floors?

One-day cure

Walk on it in hours, park on it in 24–72. No rearranging your life for a week while epoxy slowly hardens.

UV-stable — no yellowing

Epoxy ambers in sunlight. Polyaspartic doesn't. Critical for New Mexico garages with big open doors and 300+ days of sun.

4x harder than epoxy

Polyaspartic's abrasion resistance is in another league — it handles dropped tools, rolling toolboxes, and daily drivers without flinching.

Stays flexible

Concrete moves with temperature swings. Polyaspartic flexes with it instead of cracking, which is why it survives our freeze-thaw cycles.

Chemical & stain proof

Oil, brake fluid, antifreeze, road salt — wipe it up. The non-porous topcoat won't absorb what your old concrete did.

Slip-resistant texture

The flake broadcast creates natural grip. We can dial the texture up for shops or add aluminum oxide for extra traction.

Our installation process

  1. 1

    Diamond grind & repair

We mechanically grind the slab to open its pores, fill cracks, and patch spalls. Then we moisture-test — coatings fail on damp slabs, so we verify before proceeding.

  2. 2

    Base coat

A high-solids base coat goes down at the correct mil thickness — not stretched thin to save material. This is the bond layer; thickness matters.

  3. 3

    Full flake broadcast

Decorative vinyl flakes are broadcast to rejection (full coverage) into the wet base. You pick the blend — from subtle neutrals to bold custom mixes.

  4. 4

    Scrape & vacuum

Once cured, we scrape off loose flake and vacuum the floor dead clean so the topcoat bonds to a uniform surface.

  5. 5

    Polyaspartic clear topcoat

Two-part polyaspartic clear locks everything down with UV stability, chemical resistance, and that deep, wet look. Return to light use in hours.

For homeowners

Your garage is the most abused floor in your house and the first thing you see when you come home. A flake floor turns stained, dusty concrete into a cleanable, great-looking surface that actually adds to your home's value — realtors in the Albuquerque market consistently tell us finished garages photograph better and show better.

Pick from dozens of stock flake blends or build a custom mix to match your home. Most two-car garages are done in a single day, and right now you can take $300 off any flake floor just by mentioning this website.

For businesses

Auto shops, warehouses, showrooms, and restaurant back-of-house areas need floors that survive forklifts, chemicals, and constant traffic — and still look professional for customers. Polyaspartic flake systems deliver exactly that, with fast cure times that minimize your downtime.

We can add safety striping, delineate work zones with colored flake blends, and boost slip resistance for wet environments. We schedule around your operations, including nights and weekends.

Polyaspartic Flake Floors FAQs

With proper prep, 15–20+ years in a residential garage. The polyaspartic topcoat is UV-stable and abrasion-resistant, so unlike epoxy it won't yellow, and it wears far slower. Commercial floors with heavy traffic should expect 7–12 years before a maintenance topcoat.
