About Uncle Sam's Flooring
Firefighter-Owned. Prep-Obsessed. Albuquerque Proud.
Meet Sam Eddy
Sam Eddy has spent the last three years installing flake floors and polished concrete across the Albuquerque metro — and when he's not on a job site, he's on shift as a firefighter with Albuquerque Fire Rescue.
That combination isn't a marketing angle; it's the whole business model. Firefighting runs on discipline, preparation, and doing the unglamorous work right when nobody's watching. Sam brought exactly that mentality to concrete coatings — because in this trade, the unglamorous work (grinding, patching, moisture testing) is literally what decides whether your floor lasts.
Uncle Sam's Flooring started the way good contractor businesses always start: one guy who got tired of watching shortcuts get sold as craftsmanship. Every estimate is honest, every slab gets prepped like it's Sam's own garage, and every customer gets the founder's cell-phone accountability — because there's no corporate office to hide behind, and Sam wouldn't want one.
When he's off shift and off the job site, you'll find Sam outdoors — which, in New Mexico, is most of the time.

What we believe
Prep is the job
Anyone can roll coating. The grinding, patching, and moisture testing underneath is what you're actually paying for — and it's where we spend our time.
One number, in writing
No ranges, no 'we'll see once we start,' no upsell ambush on installation day. You get a firm written price before we touch your slab.
Right system, not the expensive one
Sometimes the answer is our premium polyaspartic. Sometimes it's grind-and-seal at a third of the price. We'll tell you which — even when it's the cheaper one.
